Probably more power in the E5 option.
but seems E3 might be a smaller mother node, so...
@asolar - Actually the E3 will be faster, even if you get fewer cores, especially if the virtualization is run on KVM. We have E3 and E5 servers, and the raw clock speed of the E3 is amazing. @Nick_A has lots of E3 servers with RAID10 SSDs arrays, so his servers are flying.
90% of my blood is now in the groin.
E3 will be faster but you do have to keep density in mind.
TBH... I am starting to hate that 2Ghz E5s...
Too slow for single threaded stuff.
just move from E5 4 core VPS to another E3 two core VPS, find E3 2 core VPS is way more faster than E5 four core VPS. by the way, I only running a small wordpress site, not sure for other software.
Just feel like switching form bicycle to motorcycle
If you mean the 2620, it'll push up to 2.5 when you hit the turbo button.
What about the mother ship?
Oh man turbo buttons! I also completely forgot about keyboard locks!
LOL!
Yeah
But then the E3 ones go to 3.5+... =/
