    Good thread as I'm in a very similar situation myself and have considered the L2TP service from AAISP previously. Interested to know what you have decided to do @michaels?

    I looked at getting a Mikrotik router to setup as a WiFi access point with all traffic going over the AAISP L2TP. This would be preferable to setting up each device individually.

    I think I am going to get a VPS. Although I will need one with 1Tb of transfer. I guess it's horses for courses though! I have a pfsense firewall anyway so will push all the traffic through the OpenVPN connection.

    That's pretty much how I do it, CHR running as a VM in Proxmox, ap is a Xclaim (Ruckus) Xi3

    Originally it was also running another VM to do IPS for the internet of things VLAN but I was finding pfSense/OpnSense performed pretty poorly with KVM/VirtIO when doing IPS, also the N3150 isn't a pretty weak CPU (Went for it due to passive cooling and the location of my router)
