Scaleway Workload Intensive Servers

Has anyone tried these out? Are Windows installations possible on the LSSD?

And what's with this pricing?

Their Baremetal server: 50 GB LSSD + 250 GB DSSD, 8 cores, 32 GB RAM, and 100 MB/s unmetered at 24 EUR.

Their workload intensive server: 400 GB LSSD, 8 cores, 30 GB RAM, 500 Mbit/s unmetered at 50 EUR.

I don't think they have windows. The baremetal server is an Atom C2750. The workload intensive server is a Xeon D1531 which is maybe 3x faster.

  • /not so powerful as E3s i guess, but definately bang for the buck.

  • Total power is about the same as an E3. The cores are slower but there are 6 of them (12 threads) instead of 4.
