Are these values fine for a server?
Hi,
I'm hosted on a reseller plan. Since at WHM there isn't a way to see server disk usage, I logged to the cPanel of a customer and then went to frontend/paper_lantern/home/status.html and found the following:
Do it means that the server is really oversold and almost full? Maybe that's why I'm having lots of errors 500 and 503 while trying to install and or use Prestashop. Also when I try to create new accounts at cPanel usually it fails... also if I create a new folder on a customer account let's say public_html/data and when I go to domain.com/data Apache says that the folder doesn't exists!
I'm not going to reveal the name of the host here because I don't want to damage their reputation, however I'd like to know if those values in the screenshot are fine or if I should talk with them about this.
Thanks,
gapper

Your obsession with overselling. Just host your own cPanel server.
Wouldn't be the first time you assumed something about a provider and made a post on here.
Come on man, to me it looks like the server disk is almost full. I'm not going to reveal the provider name here, but I just want to know if those values are fine or if I should open a support ticket.
As I said, I can't even install Prestashop.

So then you can confirm that those values aren't looking fine, right?
Ok I'm dealing this with my provider via support ticket. Thanks anyway.
Do you even know what error 500 and 503 are?
and then went to frontend/paper_lantern/home/status.html and found the following:
Call interpol.
Error 500 Brain not found
You guys are funny.
I'm glad you agree
I don't know that panel stuff and I don't have the slightest idea how realistic those values are. Plus I don't know the cpu. If it has 24 cores then a load of 27,.. is ok, if, however, it has 12 cores and 24 threads then that's not ok.
Most importantly though: I've experienced that the people here at LET are quite a friendly, easy going, and ready to help bunch. If you get so many negative reactions there is quite probably a reasons for that.
Hence my main advice is: Listen to them and do what they tell you.
Pageclick, right?
Yes, how do you know?
I'm one of their customers and also, I get same specs. I contacted support about it and they said disk will auto expand on its own.
Yes load is high if that's not a spike, yes disk usage is heavy. At least memory usage is low.
I wouldn't have let a server at HostGator sit like that, I'll say that. Doesn't mean your provider doesn't have an adequate plan to deal with it though.
You are the most obvious, pessimistic person here.
You would have loaded a few thousand more customers on it, amirite?
Merge two servers in the same state obviously.
High CPU load and almost full partitions, no they're not fine.
any red exclamation marks indicates something is wrong and in my opinion it's common sense, otherwise the server is 98% full and any time can be 100% - is this unlimited plan server? Ask you provider to fit the unlimited hard drive (as current is full and probably faulty as should be unlimited) with unlimited CPUs as it's still limited with 24.
Ishaq explained me how things work regarding the storage on the server and everything got clarified. He was kind enough to even provide me some resources that I can read to further learn more about web hosting.
Thank you Ishaq, I'm glad that I choose Pageclick as my hosting provider.
Mods please close thread. Thanks!
