Looking for higher end VPS or small dedi
I need a VPS or Small dedi to host a fairly high traffic site (1.3mill uncached reqs/week, 2.8mill total). Running a LEMP stack + Redis for caching. MySQL is a resource hog.
Currently on 4GB E3 KVM slice with BuyVM.
VZ Type: KVM or Dedi
Number of Cores: 4?
RAM: 8GB+
Disk Space: 30GB+
Disk Type: SSD preferred
Bandwidth: 500GB+
Port Speed: 100mbit is fine
DDoS Protection: No
Number of IPs: 1-2 is fine
Location: USA, pref east.
Budget: < $40
Billing period: Monthly or Quarterly

why you want to change the current server ?
Do you need the dedicated cores?
It's not handling the load, would stay with buyVM but they are out of stock (as usual, lol).
I'm not extremely experienced, but i'd say the answer is prob. yes.
Have you put in a ticket with them? They might be able to accomodate you for a plan upgrade even if they're not filling new orders at the moment. @Francisco

Quoting because I like the approach of slices here. Giving a guaranteed cpu cycle count, while allowing bursting higher. Very transparant specs, nice pricing too. I take it that cpu weight is based on how much ram you buy?

@teamacc correct. We think it's the most fair approach, which at the same time avoids wasting capacity. Customers are really happy with it so we're likely to release it 'officially' for the public once a few minor non-Customer-facing Hostbill glitches are ironed out
