What is the current most logical upgrade path from OpenVZ/Solus?

I don't have a problem with OpenVZ or Solus. They both just work...for what I do. Solid solution for commercial customer facing service. I am looking for what makes the most sense upgrading from here. Keep in mind it needs to be as solid as current OpenVZ/Solus. Maybe not there yet but eventually will be.

Solus development seems to have stopped so I don't have any confidence in a Solus/OVZ7 solution appearing in the forseeable future.

Why not go with OpenNebula? Evolve.

I looked at that a bit. It's completely different. Not convinced that is the right way to go for a variety of reasons. I want to be in the sweet spot of where everyone else is heading. More eyeballs means more testing and bug fixes. The upgrade path from Ovz/Solus is a factor.
