How to set up nameservers of a newly setup VPS
Hi,
I need your help on setup nameserver for my domain.
I have setup vps and installed cpanel on that, as I don't have other IP in WHM setup against nameserver I put my dedicated ip of vps.
But now when I trying to change nameserver at 1and1.com, it gives error of invalid nameservers.
Can you please help us how to setup nameserver of a newly setup VPS, and how to get that replicate.
I have only one dedicated IP for VPS.

Try to ping your name server i.e. < ns1 >.<example.com>
Wait for about 1 Day for registrar to recognize your name server.
Or try some DNS provider, for ex see the LET wiki.
Why use 1and1.com dns management? I use https://dns.he.net/ its free and you can add up to 50 domains, there you can easy put NS as you want to, but i would use there default 4 nameservers and if you realy want you can add your vps IP as 5th ns.

I don't know what the process is via 1and1 but make sure you're following the steps to create vanity name servers through them rather than just changing the records for your domain.

I have bough my domain from 1and1.com, so when I am trying to change my nameservers there it is showing error of invalid nameservers.
Have you registered your nameservers with your registrar? Why don't you try what Mike suggested above and tell us what you find out? Alternatively post your nameservers here so we can help you.
my domain name is inw3h.info, when i try to add name server ns1.inw3h.info and ns2.inw3h.info at my domain control panel, it gives error. I have setup vps first time, can you please assist on nameservers.
ns1 and ns2.inw3h.info need to be registered with 1&1. Follow these steps:

Enter your VPS' IP for both ns1 & ns2.
You need to add GLUE records in their control panel
you can use intodns to check if you have done it correctly..

Your nameserver is not registered (or is on propagation).
http://who.is/nameserver/ns1.inw3h.info/
