MySQL Hosting
I really like what @Francisco BuyVM did with the MySQL hosting. However seems a bit wasteful to use cPanel. What other ways would it be possible to have automated MySQL hosting? I guess zPanel would work there is a WHMCS module somewhere. Another possibility would be to have all the controls such as create database, users, PHPmyadmin link, directly in WHMCS.
Planning on doing $1/database.

We only use cpanel because I was too hardset for time to fix the old mysql panel I wrote.
The whole shared SQL idea was setup way back when Frantech was first born. Our gameserver clients were having a hell of a time getting SQL/etc setup within the RAM allocations they ordered so I coded together a control panel for it all.
The panel was alright but had a lot of bugs. When we got around to launching buyvm+ we simply saw cpanel as a quick, cheap, option.
At some point stallion will have all of the buyvm+ options merged into it, including SQL controls.

cPanel is great, I don't see the problem in using it for an SQL control panel, at least until they integrate it with stallion.
I don't want to use cPanel because it's overhead is excessive and its not so cheap given that I will be using like none of its features.
Trial run
My solution requires minimal overhead and allows them to administrate it in the way that they desire, as if it were locally installed on their VPS.

If I end up using cpanel can I disable processes like apache, ftp, etc. to increase performance?
If you end up writing your own panel, you can use WHMCS API to authenticate users to their already-existant WHMCS accounts: http://docs.whmcs.com/API:Validate_Login
All that sounds too complicated. Probably just going to use cPanel
with disabled ftp, apache, etc.

Um... Turns out cPanel is the best option. So I'll use it. Unless I can get zPanel CP to work... we'll see!

@Francisco Any way to get more than 10G storage Mysql hosting?
Database usage doesn't count against the 10 - 15GB you get, that's for you to use for your own backups of your VPS, etc.
We do keep nightly backups of the SQL server with 1 week of retention.
