Alright folks, providers send me PM with offers.
Need this for an ongoing backup and to park data there for when and if necessary.
Looking for the following:
VPS (any type, Proxmox is fine, Solus, KVM, OpenVZ, lack of panel whatever)
RAM: 128MB
Disk: 500GB
RAID: not necessary but nice
Port Sped: Gbit
Network Upstream: Cogent and HE are fine.
Monthly Xfer: 1TB+
Location: United States or Canada, prefer midwest or east coast.
Price point: $10-12.50 a month.

for $12.50 I can't even make you an offer for 500GB, I could do in Canada in a few weeks when I get a node online.
I can't do gbit though, I can do 100mbit in Canada, as for US, we could do gbit. However, you'd need to increase your price range.
Gigabit is just needed since it takes forever to move data and that's more prone to errors/corruption. Mainly my sleepy eyes.
Aside from populating the storage and some scheduled events to sync. Bandwidth will be minimal.

Part of asking providers to PM me is I don't want folks outing themselves - those who can and will offer such and setting off some provider flame war.
Hum, i'll PM you.
why?

that's 100mbps
@gubbyte, the KimSufi deals are always interesting. Problem is the dollar to euro fluctuation. I avoid that since isn't a fixed price on my end. Plus that on the low end is 100Mbps.
The way the USD is headed that $14.13 might be $25 6 months from now.
edit:
Not read from the chart but from employment, unemployment and general economy weakness in the US.
You're forgetting the taxes on that, really making it about $20
$20 is too much. Money conversion is an ugly mess. I don't do currency exchange plans due to instability of money.
Arggh! Decided to just add more disk in one of our servers.
We had about 2.7 T of space on one server available, and could have done $12.50, but it wouldn't be gbit until later this month.
I'll keep you in mind @Damian
We keep coming back to needing storage and will max out again soon enough.
We can do this. If you want something with a faster network, refer to that PM I sent you. It should be up quite soon.
@lele0108 could probably do this for $12.50 / mo.
