Windows VPS or Dedicated Server?
moneygrows
Member
I need to run few windows program and i would need different IPs for them. Should i go with separate windows VPS or get a dedicated server?
What i normally do is rent cheap windows vps that cost average $5/pm. Now i would need 5, maybe more vps so i figure there must be a better option out there.
RAM is not an issue, would only need minimal per program/vps.
Can someone suggest me any cheap providers as well?

We can do a price match for you.
Pssst, your WHMCS homepage still has the placeholder text down the bottom.
Still under construction. Should be fixed soon.
I can also offer you a price match except i will include the price of the windows licence to preactivated with legitimate licence
If $5 VPS are providing adequate performance for your app, and you require around 5 of them, then I don't think it will be worth your while to switch to a dedi at this time. I say this because ultra-low-end dedis are usually short on IPv4 subnet addresses and oftentimes the cost of acquiring more negates any savings.
I would instead encourage you to trial similar sized VPS at several different providers such as the ones that have already responded to your posting. It is notoriously difficult to compare resources between different providers "on paper", especially in the low-end market. Linux might as well report "Mystery Meat" as "QEMU Virtual CPU." Network performance is another big variable that is hard to suss out pre-sales. Caveat Emptor and don't forget to give your current provider a chance to retain your business. Oftentimes "better the devil you know" as they say.
Please post-up again when you are routinely consuming 8-10 "cores" and tell us a little more about your apps so we can suggest some appropriate dedi configs and providers.
get a dedicated server. all windows vms suck, unless you are given more than one core.
@vladka24 OP claims to be happy with $5/mo VPS. Who are we to argue?
I agree with this. A $25/m dedi virtualised into 5 VPSs just isn't going to give the same performance as 5*$5 VPSs.
check this deal :

For 4 eur.
I have one and it's working just fine for me.
@Kodis: Could you elaborate a bit as to what "working just fine for me" means? The OP did not give any specifics about his app that he currently is running on $5/mo VPS so would be informative to learn what kind of apps and MS Products you are running in 1GB RAM. Would appreciate your posting-up some performance metrics/graphs. Also, do you have any insight into which processor is on offer and whether this 4Euro special provides a full core, full logical core, or fractional core? Are these dedicated resources? Is the SSD directly attached or network storage?
i need vps to run metatrader4. Currently on my vps plan im running 8 metatrader4 at same time. I need to seperate them so each will have its own ip. Prefer US location.

@NJO_Host1 Why post the same exact message twice in the same day? Sometimes people only check the site once a day or once every few days. Sometimes people don't feel like answering other peoples questions.
I'm using for testing purposes for youtube video watching, two Firefox youtube players constantly running.
So far no problem at all except you need to restart service or Firefox 2 times a week because Firefox using too much RAM.
Runing on E5-2697 v3

This sounds so suspicious. It looks to me you are botting YouTube views...
Go to get a dedi server !
No i;m earning point's for views
Might be worth finishing your website before posting offers
Which is basically botting
I don't understand why earning and selling credits is boting
so basically stealing from advertisers if I understand the business model correctly?
Unless you are staring at the screen watching videos your botting.
Guys stop doing off topic...
In one way yes it might be considerate as stealing but in the other way i'm not stealing anything i;m using software to see, like almost 85% of program users.
And the YT not so dumb if someone buying traffic ( views) whey banning account's or deducting payment's. So no harm to advertisers from my side at all.
