DDos Question. Is it possible?
Is it possible to do and how to do below. Many thanks.
Primary VPS (No DDOS protection) in my country
Secondary VPS (DDOS protection) in other country
(1) DDos attacks primary VPS so that primary VPS is down.
(2) All traffic to primary VPS will be automatically transferred to secondary VPS.
(3) Secondary VPS is now under DDOS attacks.
(4) Secondary VPS has DDOS protection and assume the protection can fight DDOS attacks but need time.
(5) Secondary VPS is still up and running during fighting DDos attacks.
(6) After fight back DDos attacks, all traffic to secondary VPS will be automatically transferred to primary VPS.
(7) Primary and secondary VPS are up and running.

We can provide protected VPS and then you can do the failover however you like.
Yeah, this has nothing to do with DDoS. It's all about redundancy, failover, and high availability. Hire someone who can recommend the best solution for your current setup.
What is the VPS used for? Solutions can vary based on your application. If your clients access the service using a domain name, you can get a DNS hosting with failover and add the DDoS protected VPS's IP as the failover.

I wouldn't recommend switching IPs via DNS on attack, getting your unprotected VPS pounded on a regular basis will likely be a violation of your hosts TOS/AUP/get you in trouble.
FYI We support some High Availability features such as transferring your traffic if one of your backends goes down. We do this via BGP over GRE if you need it.
