@shovenose that's not a very professional and mature way to speak to someone. I don't have to "gtfo your thread", I am simply stating my opinion that overselling is bad, will cause you issues.
It's not like I'm in the minority in that I oversell. I barely oversell, but I don't see the point of wasting resources.
But you've sold those resources. Isn't it up to the buyer (the client) to decide whether he/she 'wastes' them or not?
Yes. It is true. And I will happily move people to another server if I deem them unable to use the resources they pay for.
My current node (openvz1) will never be oversold because I'm stuck at 32 max IPs, and the server has 16GB RAM and a quad core CPU.
So that argument is ruled out, since almost everybody has VPS1 or a few have VPS2.
