Nom nom nom. Don't have SSD or SAS, but have a sustained 220MB/s with 10K IOPS.
(But I don't want a single container pounding the drives).
We all know minecraft eats disk I/O...
But yeah, i don't want to take the risk to get suspended coz of high disk usage
wouldn't recommend a vps for minecraft.
I would like to offer the services of @Spencer here.
@Joodle our UK location uses 6x450GB SAS drives in hardware raid if you're intrested. Little over you budget (6.95 / 2GB RAM)
Aww thanks guys
While $5 for a 1GB SSD VPS is rather expensive we can offer you a $6 per GB SSD minecraft server with multicraft.
@Spencer can you send me a PM with some more information?
If it's minecraft, then you won't like OpenVZ (java really messes up when it comes to RAM usage on OpenVZ).
Nom nom nom, .32 kernels handle memory better, so it may differ.
@joodle @fileMEDIA gave me a very good deal on a 4GB KVM server with them. Maybe you can ask him?
OpenVZ and Java are fine with vswap.
@birdie25 thanks for letting me know i have sent a PM to @fileMEDIA
Pm me i may be able to help you.
@Fliphost PM sent
Openvz and java are fine, we are running Minecraft on 96gb (started with 64gb, upgraded to 96gb, maybe in the future to 128gb) nodes with several VM's to keep things seperated. No problems here and don't got any complains
Got a VPS from @Fliphost
Thanks everyone!
I'm confident @Fliphost will treat you well, good luck
