  • Are you reselling BuyVM?

No, we are not/do not resell BuyVM.

  • What is your relationship with SonicVPS?

  • No, we are not/do not resell BuyVM.

Then I'm a bit confused, your IP location shows Frantech: http://whois.domaintools.com/209.141.63.80

    He's reselling services from SonicVPS

  • Oh sorry, makes sense now thanks.

  • @Jack said: SonicVPS have their own equipment they aren't reselling.

    Oh. Edited then. My bad

  • @HalfEatenPie yes, SonicVPS has his own equipment. I do resell from him, I am not going to lie.

I don't see how being a reseller would effect this though? Sure, some people don't prefer to buy from resellers, I respect that.

Nothing wrong with that, you'd be surprised at how many resellers there actually are. I was just confused at why your IP location was showing Frantech, that's all. Good luck :)

  • We have a lot of re sellers poping out recently on LET. This is not fun :(

  • Each to their own.

Resellers are going to inflate times when issues happen.

Any major issue is going to have much longer ETA for resolution.

Guess it is important to know the relationship between the reseller and the actual machine owner. If the machine owner is actually fully managing and handling tickets or what the relationship and dynamics are. But, no provider is ever going to disclose that info.

Yeah, there is a lot, just no one usually openly admits it, I admit I'm a reseller. It's a good way to start and grow from there.

  • Anyone care to clarify the SonicVPS and BuyVM relationship?

Saw this when looking into the BuyVM outage currently, from Twitter earlier this afternoon when Fiberhub melted a 200A fuse:

@brrrrrbl SonicVPS' gear just spun up. We're working with them to make sure everything's good to go.

  • We colo with Frantech - simple as that.

I decided to roll with them on this migration for better flexibility. We couldn't grow at all as all racks were sold out + the problems BuyVM were having with EGI gave us no choice.

  • Thanks @SonicVPS. Good folks get the straight info.
