Dedicated Server - What should I get?

I run a nodejs / meteor application currently with Heroku. I also run a shared mongodb instance with Mlab (all stuff is AWS). As you guys probably know, Heroku charges up the yin yang for what you get in terms of server power. Anyway, my most of my audience is in the US. I've been thinking about jumping over to online.net with their offering of:

**(Dedibox Classic 2016 | Intel® Xeon® D-1531 32 GB | 2 x 250 GB SSD | 1 Gbit/sec). **

I would be using cloudflare to help with latency for my US audience. What do you guys think? The reason I was thinking of going with online.net is because of price, though I don't like their setup fee. Ideally I would rather host in the US, but prices tend to be more expense.

Lastly is the Xeon D class as good as say a Xeon 1245v5?
