Backup the OVH Game-1 to Offside remote location

I dont want to use the backup ftp provided by soyoustart instead i will backup at remote side .

my space requirement is 20 GB only ...

Do i need rsync / owncloud ? i want to have mirroring/update new files so there wont be same backup happening just updating files / backup to remote location

Please recommend me a solution that can backup my mysql/files that i have in my home directory.

Thanks.

  • Why not get a storage VPS from like Time4VPS and rsync a tarball of the home directory there?

  • rsync will do that,
lsyncd can even be setup run rsync as soon as a new file is added

or Syncthing would probably also work.

Sorry, edited as I thought it's in request forum.

You will be able to create archive selected directories and create the script for auto backup via ssh or ftp.

  • Lsyncd is especially useful to sync data from a secure area to a not-so-secure area.

What does the poet mean? :o
