One more test just now. IO still the same. With this terrible IO, I don't think you can sell any here. Need to work on it.
dd if=/dev/zero of=test bs=64k count=4k oflag=dsync
4096+0 records in
4096+0 records out
268435456 bytes (268 MB) copied, 210.406 s, 1.3 MB/s
Is their any particular reason you are using the dsync flag?
16384+0 records in
16384+0 records out
1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 13.1777 s, 81.5 MB/s
Without it, it just means everything is cached by the OS or whatever and is not a real indication of anything other than that there is lots of memory.
I've got someone at the data center investigating the low IO. We will have a new node up soon that is much much better.
I have re-installed with Debian. Still prefer Debian compare to Ubuntu on server.
I put Yahei php Prober on this trial VPS
Have a look

With no many clients load on this note, the server is performing quite well.
@smile93 Glad you like it!

I think I am done with testing.
Next task is to monitor the uptime. Only will have result after 20 to 30 days from now.
All servers have been upgraded to:
4 Cores (Fair share)
512MB RAM
1024MB Swap
15GB HDD
175GB Bandwidth @ 100Mbps
Enjoy!
@trewq Thanks
My full LAMP only use
Real Memory Used 30.71 M , Real Memory Free 481.29 M , Rate 6 %
Even I loaded full wordpress with 2k posts, 30k comments, I think this upgrade memory still can handle it if it is under low traffic.
Will try this next week. Can't find any free time now.
Just noticed your emails went to Spam in GMail, the vps looks nice now.
That's strange it shouldn't have gone to SPAM. Oh well as long as it's all working.
Glad you like it!
Surprised nobody commented on the fact that the node has drives in RAID0. Why go RAID 0 if this is supposed to be a test of the product you're going to be offering?
Do you plan to have your disks in RAID 0 on your production nodes? Sketchy.
It was setup in RAID0 by mistake by the datacenter. Production nodes will NOT be in RAID0. Having no redundancy in a production environment is one of the dumbest things that can be done.
3 more available.
4 Cores (Fair share)
512MB RAM

just got an email
"This is an email to let you know the trial will be ending in approximately a week."
"You do have the option of keeping your VPS with us for only $4/month."
"You do have the option of keeping your VPS with us for only $4/month."
That's when the trial will end however we will not be removing VPSs until we do not have enough room on the node for paying customers. This means that some of the current trial users may get a few more months.
The option to continue with us is there just in case people want to keep the VPS. It is up to them.
no more 128 and 256 product in the future?
Those are still available. Send me an email at brendan[@]versatileit.com.au if you want one or open a ticket. Well have another node coming up before the end of the trial that will be dedicated to the 128 and 256 plans.
