There should be an auto close for threads if that is a rule which would make no sense unless the member is spamming / advertising his own services.
We are, generally, very rude towards new members. Let's change that.

letsencrypt supports mult-domain/subdomain upto 15 free. Don't see many needing more than that.
It's part of the don't be a dick rule, everyone hates necroing, so don't do it. We aren't always rude to new members, just those that spam posts in old threads or those asking 5 questions a day.

@Maxis You can use basically any Let's Encrypt client to issue an SNI certificate. A pretty "official" one is https://certbot.eff.org/
