Upgrade package in Centos 6
I have R installed on centos6 (version 3.1.3). I need to upgrade R (to version 3.2.3).
If I do "sudo yum install R", it will upgrade to the latest version (3.3.1) which I do not want.
Any help is appreciated on how to install a specific version 3.2.3.

Was a 3.2.3 RPM ever available?
R install via rpm? I have always done via yum install. Sorry, can't help much

yum install package-3.2.3.x86_64
Try this here.
To be exact - use wget to pull this file onto your server.
Run the following command in the directory to which you have downloaded the file:
$rpm -ihv R-core-3.2.3-4.el6.x86_64.rpm
If the install fails because of missing dependencies you will have to figure it out from there.
