Any company is better than GoDaddy. As for cheaper - don't know.
namecheap.com / name.com
@curtisg what's the price?
Only good things about Godaddy are the promos and quick DNS updates if you host your DNS there. I also have domains with Namecheap and they're decent as well.
How many topics are you going to create asking what's the cheapest coupons, registrars and prices. @Infinity @Liam
Namecheap is more expensive than Go Daddy, in my eyes.
@Ishaq

You act like namecheap.com and name.com are related... and they are not.

But personally I use Internetbs.net for everything

I use dreamhost, 9.99$ / free whois protection, never experienced a problem yet. It's been flawless.

I got a reseller account for a domain name registrar a few years ago and I get domains pretty cheap. Right now with free whois protection and the usual setup you would expect I pay USD 8.88 per domain (.com) per year.
I can control the prices that are charged so I could give people the same price I pay. I have thought about just letting people who want cheaper domains use it but never done it.
