Anyone running OpenVPN AS on ChicagoVPS LA?
I recently picked up one of ChicagoVPS $12/year plans to add a west-coast location to my VPN collection, but so far I can't get it to run - installation goes fine, but trying to start the server from inside the admin area always gives the message 'iptables service not started because of error (SVC_RUN_EXCEPT)'.
I raised a ticket and had all the iptables modules enabled on the node, including requests for specific things like ensuring "ipt_state" is enabled but it hasn't made any difference.
Has anyone else been able to run OpenVPN AS on a ChicagoVPS LA VPS? And if so, which node are you on? I can ask support to compare your node to mine to help troubleshoot the problem.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Sometimes you have to enable PPP on OpenVZ
Sorry should have mentioned that, both TUN/TAP & PPP are enabled in SolusVM and I've verified from the CLI that they're working.
Is this setting it up manually or using that auto installer for openvpn around LET somewhere?
'Inside the Admin Area,' try doing a manual start first.
Increase the verbosity of the logs, tons of things you can do. You can also drop by #openvpn-as on freenode, some really nice people there.
Manual set-up. I've done it 10's of times, so never really thought about using the auto-installer.
Tried that countless times, no luck.
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll do something with the logs and see what I can find out, but in the meantime, if anyone else has this running, it'd be helpful to be able to hold that up to ChicagoVPS support for comparison.
Problem is due to modules that are not loaded on the hardware node.
modprobe ipt_mark
modprobe ipt_MARK
modprobe tun

Support have told me that they've enabled all iptables modules on the node, and TUN seems to be working, so there's something else going on.
I usually get that problem with ipt_mark maybe they only enabled it in lowercase. Its actually two seperate modules.
They did not load all of the modules listed in @BenND's link.
Well I took support at their word that they had, but I'll recheck with them to be sure, thanks.
@Nekki, Maybe provide them with this link: http://openvpn.net/index.php/access-server/docs/admin-guides/186-how-to-run-access-server-on-a-vps-container.html
Well it's working now. Got a different support guy this time who once again re-enabled all the iptables modules, so obviously the first guy wasn't doing something right.
Thanks for your help everyone, if a mod wants to close the topic, feel free.
