No one brave? ;P
That one euro vps can be good.
Speex-v1
http://de.down.lc/tz_e.php
So, CPU is capped, I/O is capped and they are using old "crappy" CPU's.
And also using Virtualizor eh.
Network Performance seems to be good, are these Nodes connected over Gbit?
Which is the main reason to use this service, otherwise arubacloud destroys this.
I/O is embarrassing anyway.
But Aruba minivps is comes from 20gb storage...
This is 50gb for same price...
Yeah that's why I said this is good for space/traffic usage. Arubacloud on the other part has an excellent performance using high end CPUs and SSD.
Yes as @Dormeo said... Aruba is 20GB SSD Vs. Speex is 50GB HDD
But somehow this seems to be a decent provider like Netcup and Aruba. I don't have a requirement right now but will keep them in pipe
i ordered and paid 19 hours ago! and still in progress this Speex-v1 plan ...
this is not a good start with this company...
that 0.99 € is including german VAT ...
yet you get that price only by paying yearly , which they don't state clearly on the front page as far as I can see :-/
in germany all such public offers have to include german VAT in the shown price, that's the law and there are only few exceptions for pure and maybe restricted B2B offers.
so minimum contract term on the two cheapest offers is 3 month but price is a tad higher than shown. from 4.99 € one it seems to be the real monthly price but for that there are also no more discounts on longer terms...
had a quick look at their AGBs, contracts are prepaid so no cancellation neccessary, will simply end if not renewed (probably they do no long overdue times). traffic is said to be "fair use", after all 1TB included - I'd guess they'll limit you if you do more or at least ask you to upgrade or something like that... availability of services should be not less than 99% ...
if you need anything else from that germanish ^^ don't hesitate to ask, I'll try to help you out ;-)
The support sent me this:
at the moment we do not have any TOS that include explicit information about the properties of our VPS.
The Traffic fair use is 2,5 to 5 TB per month.
If you reach the value we will cut down the line to 10 or 100 Mbps.
On the VPS Systems we try to do not overload them so much, that the customers still have good performance even they have an 1EUR VPS.
At the moment the VPS Systems are only Dual Xeon L5639 / X5650 with Raid Controller and 4x normal HDDs (Raid 10).
The new Systems will be:
CPU: 2x intel Xeon E5-2660 / 2670 / 2690 / 2667
RAM: 192 GB - 384 GB Ram
HDD: 1 x 500 GB SSD (Cache) + 3x HDD / 4 x 500/1000 GB SSD
NETWORK: 10Gbps
OpenVZ will be migrated to LXC soon.
We are also not sure how we size our full SSD offers. (in terms of HD Space)
kind regards,
Dataspeex Support Team
thanks, but what about VPS activation, I paid for that service 24 hours ago, and i still dont get anything, the status is still in progress...
somewhere else the dedicated server deployment is within 1 hour...
Their AGBs state 24h setup time. As yesterday was sunday I'd guess they do manual setup within usual business hours. It's nearly 13 p.m. here, I'd say open up a ticket and ask them about activation before business hours ends and you have to wait till tomorrow ;-)

did you get the VPS?
finally yes, after when i submit a ticket i got it
how it is performing?
for this price is good
here is my benchmark when i got this VPS,
check out this: pastebin.com/raw/ueYutmsu
Disk speed is way too low.
its enough for me 3 low traffic websites, before this i use 3 aruba minivps, so this is cheaper
Oversold look at the cpu speed.
Lowered to host extra vms to prevent overload
What is a "normal" HDD? Desktop grade? From those benchmarks look like extremely stressed. In time will settle, maybe, but 30 MB/s is the absolute minimum i can take these days in sequential writing, if you have many operations it will crawl...
Yes desktop grade...at least 90MB/s sequential...
There will be some high end VPS offers in the next weeks.
They will have E5-26XX CPU and SSD Storage also 10GE.
Is there someone who want test the new VPS?
I want it
May I get a test IP please
