Any reliable lowend vps in Europe

ali71ali71 Member

Can you guys suggest me a reliable European hosting, price within 3$ . Ram 256+ , Hard disk 5GB+ . I am planning to build a personal VPN server using that. As I will use it as VPN only to browse so I would expect minimum 90% uptime and fair support.

Thanks

    http://ramnode.com/vps.php 256MB SVZ

But 90% uptime is garbage, you can get much cheaper than that if you really only need 90% uptime.

thanks for the reply. I see they don't have any EU server. But I specifically need an European server.

If an unmanaged service is what you are after we may be able to help?

We don't however offer application/OS layer support.

    UltraVPS.eu?

Should definitely be enough for a single user personal vpn server.

Here's the uptime from a vps I have with them, if it would help.

    Uptime: 7 months, 1 days, 14 hours, 33 minutes, 35 seconds

What do you mean by "EU"? They have NL location, and Netherlands is a member of the European Union. Netherlands is also in Europe...

    Virtwire in Netherlands $10 a year for 512MB https://my.virtwire.com/cart.php?gid=36

  • 90% is a low expectation...

I'm pretty happy with i-83. Go with them.

Alternatively, you can go with HTTPZoom. I have 99.99% uptime with them. Been with them for 2 years: http://goo.gl/OFyziL

We can do it for free!

No one does stuff for free, mostly.

Seems like you tring to get more IPv4 Space, and later you kick users probably off.

Get a Paid VPS if you want something to base on.

Reliable and 90% uptine, really? :) It actually contradicts with reliability.

There are a lot of reliable options within your budget in Europe, and above mentioned RamNode is one of them. If you can pay yearly, check also HostUS $12/year 768MB RAM famous VPS offer, that's my aff link if you don't mind. Location is in London, and that's my quick bench:

Take a look at Inception Hosting Europe offers too. I have been using their NL VPS for almost a year with no problems.

Check also ArubaCloud, they offer affordable VMware servers in various Europe location and have a free trial.

By the way, what exact location are you looking for?

What are you on about? Weve been doing it for free for almosg a year. Its not unlimited stock. We are limited by our IPs yes, but we have not tried to use this to get more IP space. You dont need to since APNIC dont issue new IPs to existing companies and if we register a new company we gey a /22 easily enough.

We do paid VPS too. The free VPS is for marketing purposes. Not for IPs.

But... I really do like HTTPZoom, and I probably will make a tiny amount if he buys. What's wrong with that ? :(

Nothing wrong with that in particular, but hiding those links is kind of a "bad practice".
Just state it more obvious what is going on then and or maybe even provide an additional link without your aff id!

For VPN I think you should give a look to lowendspirit they have multiple locations and very cheap prices but if you want a dedicated IP then I would recommend HttpZoom I used their services before for about 2years and uptime was ~%99.99 I canceled it because I have no use for it now

We can help you with this too. Our KVM and OpenVZ plans will fit your budget. We currently have a 15% off coupon, so our 256MB RAM plans will cost you only 6,37 euro / qtr.

Since you're looking for a VPS to host your VPN, our 'traffic' line might be worth looking at as it comes with twice the amount of bandwidth :-)

I have been with i-83 for more than one and half years. I am very satisfied with they so far. Although I am using the lowend plan, my tickets were answered with a few minutes, really helpful and professional.
