    Oh Crystal baby ♥ I just came..

  • Wondering where UG was for so long. Newcastle sounds promising for Eurasians like me

  • We were always here :) Now we have LA so hoping for a good turnout on that :)

  • Los Angeles
    root@xxxxx:~# dd if=/dev/zero of=iotest bs=64k count=16k conv=fdatasync && rm -rf iotest
    16384+0 records in
    16384+0 records out
    1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 5.42856 s, 198 MB/s

  • Haha the first dd.
    Thanks LAKid

  • @LAKid said: dd if=/dev/zero of=iotest bs=64k count=16k conv=fdatasync && rm -rf iotest

    don't really need the recursive rm do you?... just tryin' to save a brutha a keystroke..

  • @twain better safe than sorry.

  • The recursive flag actually makes it unsafe, not safe.

    Try unlink, dd if=/dev/zero of=iotest bs=64k count=16k conv=fdatasync; unlink iotest

  • I have their UK 1gb offer from leb (a bit more expensive), so far performance seems truly great, hope they won't oversell it :)

  • Thanks for the kind words :)
