Would you renew an unused dedicated server/VPS just because it's so cheap?

  • Dump it, if it serves no purpose then it isn't worth having.

All three of my VPS have a use. I could maybe ditch one of them, but it's useful enough to keep. I've wanted one of OVH's mKS servers for a while, but I can't justify the ~$11/mo for a server that I'd never use. The same goes for general VPSs — I'd love to add a few more of them, but why should I spend more when my current ones work fine?

  • I know it's not a reasonable thing to do, but I'd still renew it.

  • We've got some clients who actually do that.

  • i would not why renew it if i don't use it
