Relaying CCTV stream

Anyone know if you can relay a CCTV stream to a VPS and people view the video stream from the VPS rather than from the camera directly?

    Do you know what format your CCTV camera is spitting out on its stream?

    Yes, we need to know what type of stream this is putting out. If you have an analog system, you have to convert it to digital with a box.

    Thanks, well its motion jpg, but i think it can do H264.

    That will cache the CCTV footage to a file on the vps.
