I've never setup or run an IRC bouncer before - but i'm considering it.

Is there any preferred bouncer to run?

Any advice?

    Thanks guys - going to try give ZNC a go and see if I can get it to run in Docker.

    I've recently switched to znc and i can say that it has some nice features, like keeping channel log while you are away.
