    The bandwidth is fine - they have a mix of Cogent / Telia / NTT in RO.

    If you are looking for a good quality, super stable Romanian host I suggest newhost.ro and this isn't after using it for only a month either. I have been with them for about 4 5 years now, had maybe 2 outages in that time period (very very short and RFO provided) and 1 announced maintenance period. Support is quick to reply, if you do actully end up needing them (I think I have logged a handful of tickets maybe in the whole time I have been with them).

    Their lowest tier offerings provide 100Mbit, but you get true 100Mbit not some half ass over utilized port:

    Do note that I have had this server for many many years so my resources are quite low as I bought it many years ago as a LET box when they offered it. Their lowest plan now even includes about double the resources. I have never needed any more than I have currently, so I haven't bugged them about it.

    My experiences with M247 did not yield half as good of a network and to most places outside EU (international) it was piss slow. This was directly with M247 too, not a re-seller.

    Was it a long time ago? Same bandwidth mix as what they provide as of now?

    Romanian comercials Data Center with DDOS protection:

    1. Voxility - own mitigation system ( not automatic so lost time until mitigate, to expensive)
    2. GTS - Arbor DDOS - one on the best ,not goot for small atacks ( under 1Gbps )
    3. M247 - NsFocus - second best DDOS protection , but the scrubing is in UK and lost time
    4. xservers - own mitigation system + HP TippingPoint firewall ( we have help to build and equipped them )
    5. dedicatserver.ro - we have the servers colocated in voxility , own DDOS protection + Fortinet 3040 - see picture.

    To understand :

    1.there is no DDOS protection to protect one server/IP 100%
    2.the 500Gbps+ protection is a myth ( you should interpreted only as - the DC have Network Edge Capacity ) see the atacks on yahoo,spamhaus,facebook...
    3.most of the hosting companies do "Black hole" / "null route" when the amplitude exceeds same limits , like 5Gbps or 500.000 pps for protect the network.

    Last year we have tested four very expensive DDOS protection ( prices over 100k) , none of them have met our requirements ( to protect our whole network , with different stages of protection for dedicated servers and VDS ) ,we learned a lot about DDOS and the weaknesses of each solution.
