    I wrote an article about this very problem a while back, here's the link.

  • Steps to asking questions:

    • Describe what you did.
    • Describe what outcome you expected.
    • Describe what actually happened instead.
    • Clearly list every error you get, where you see it, and when it happened.
    • Describe the 'environment' (in this case, webserver, distro, and so on)
  • "No input file specified" is a PHP error, not an nginx one.

  • 99% of the time that error means you provided an incorrect path from nginx to the php interpretor, for example don't mess with the script path too often, something like this in your fastcgi_params should work fine, if you've specified the correct root path in the server { } block.

    fastcgi_param SCRIPT_NAME $fastcgi_script_name;

    fastcgi_param SCRIPT_FILENAME $request_filename;

    You should brush up on the Nginx Pitfalls : http://wiki.nginx.org/pitfalls

  • Old. Sorry forgot to say solved.
