Buying dedi from "webtropia" + 31 IPs....
Hey, i want to buy from webtropia dedi/ root sever and create VPS with it.
I have 2 options:
1. Root server - 36GB ram -12 Vcore but cant install proxmox so i think to install "Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard" and use "Hyper-V' to create VPS, it is possible?
2. Simple way, dedi - 32GB ram - 4 (8) core 4.0 GHz, install proxmox and create VPS.
Option #1 cost me only 53$, but option #2 cost me 55$ (less space also)...
Comments
So you can install proxmox on one box but not on the other...?
I cant... cause its root server.
"it isn't possible to virtualize on a virtualized server."
I believe those root servers are basically large KVM machines.
You won't have any luck using Hyper-V. Even IF they enabled the nested virt. flag it won't run at acceptable speed.
If you really want to virtualise properly take a Dedi.
You actually can. It's just the performance suffers.
but the dedi have 4 Vcore, and root server have 12 Vcore! i dont know what to choose...
If you want to virtualise take a Dedi, it's as simple as that :-).
Take the dedi for the easiest process, but I do believe you can install Debian 8 and convert to proxmox from there. LXC shouldn't be a problem in a KVM.
Option 2
Ok thanks all, i go for dedi, i need some help please:
this is what im see:
i choose windows 2012.. than 64bit... than i have software-raid , what to choose - yes/no?
than i have " Konfigurationstool " 3 options: "Kein Admintool", "Plesk" ,"HyperV".
Big thanks for help.
You could ask the provider for assistance with their order form, no?
no... they answer after 4 days...
... and you still want to go with such a provider which responds after 4 days? How do you expect to support this setup?
i know that for customer that already have server there they answer fast...
its a shady provider who does not answer a "new prospective" customer on time. seriously
no true. if you are shady then will not answer you. i have been with myloc and there customer service is great for me.
There is a nice button above ,on the site , where you can easily change the language
And you can use google translate , thats how I ordered before
I think that's your answer.
lol, its not works on "order" page... anyway, i just want to install proxmox and create VPS.. i cant see option of proxmox there, so i think i will just order and them contact sup to install for me proxmox.
