Get my IP, Ninja!
A while back I discovered I had the need for a simple and lightweight "What's my IP?" service. With simple and lightweight I mean that all I really need to see is my IP addresses and not much else. Especially no ads, fancy country flags, hostnames, etc.
I also needed something to show my IPv4 and IPv6 address at the same time in case I had both, and to check whether that's actually the case.
Today I'm proud to present to you: Get my IP, Ninja!

It's a scientifically proven fact that 99% of all men like Ninjas. So this will be a hit for sure!
its much better than these bloated sites. it would be nice if you could make an php page (api) that returns only the IP adress (no other texts etc) this could be useful for application developers that need to obtain user IP's. just a random idea!

Try http://ipv4.getmyip.ninja and http://ipv6.getmyip.ninja. It's what I use to get "the other" IP address. It returns just the REMOTE_ADDRESS and nothing else.
That gets the IP of your application server... Not sure how that's supposed to obtain user IPs.
http://icanhazip.com/ - If accessed from a dual stack setup the preferred protocol will be shown (mostly IPv6). If accessed from IPv4 only pretty obviously IPv4 and also only IPv6 if accessed over IPv6 only.
http://ipv4.icanhazip.com/ - Only IPv4 access and therefore will only reply with an IPv4 address.
http://ipv6.icanhazip.com/ - Only IPv6 access and therefore will only reply with an IPv6 address.
That is a lot more what you're asking for

no "geolocation", we only collect IP PHYSICAL location.
For ping tools and traceroute tools they are only available in Chinese... but you can use Google Translate.
so far im use http://whatismijnip.nl/
application accesses the api url and obtains text string from the api that contains only the IP address.
It would be nice if your site loaded....
it works from the netherlands but is VERY slow. 10-15 seconds load time.

Both Bing and Google offer this. That said, neat site without all the BS most "What's your IP" sites have.
If the idea is bare bones (and I like it) I would just have the browser return:
IPv4: xxxxxxx
IPv6: xxxxxxxxxxxx

http://www.moanmyip.com/
http://cmyip.com

Right. But that will get you your application server's IP. Maybe I misinterpreted what your feature request was, but how does that get you the end user's IP?
application runs on the end-user's pc so it ends up obtaining the end-user's ip address from the api server. what is so hard to understand here?
