Initial thoughts on Tzulo

I decided to try the offer on LEB from Tzulo. The server was set up in a couple of hours. Decided to take a SSD over the 2TB hard drive.

Worried about the life of the SSD...

Comments

  • The network is good. AYKservers (re)sells a lot of their servers.

  • Thanks for sharing. Looks pretty good. I wish their VPS wasn't sold out so I could try them out, might use them for colo.

  • That ssd though.... it has been on for 1002.958333333333 days. Around 2.7 years old.

would be more worried about the quality, since SSD's have improved a lot over the last several years

wouldn't worry about the life. a brand new ssd would probably be more likely to fail in the next 6 months

  • I've looked again the freevps bench.sh v2(got my own copy from a few months ago) and it has 100MB files all over it.

I'll make a copy for myself and see if there are 1000/10000MB(there were some time ago). IMO longer downloads give a more accurate view than 2-10s downloads.

  • Anyone know how long Tzulo has been around, or any long term experience with them?

Don't forget failproof. If a download takes 2hours, it won't be fun.

  • any experiences using tzulo ?

  • Thank you for sharing so much! The overall impression is pretty good. Best of luck, mate!
