Storage/disk space requirement for linux kvm vps.

Hey guys,
I have a small blog that I plan to move to a SSD powered vps. It is a small blog, not huge storage needed may be a gig or 2 and am looking for a kvm vps.
What I am trying to figure out is how much disk space do I require? Do you think a regular Ubuntu install with VNC/GUI for some common file sharing (cloud computing), do you think 7-8GB storage would be sufficient? 3 GB for file storage and 4 GB for os?
