Is DNSSEC necessary?

I recently registered a domain with a registrar which offered if I would like to activate DNSSEC for my domain during the registration process. I want to know if DNSSEC is necessary & does it really add any security to prevent hijacking of DNS?

    i don't use it

But if you ask will it add security then answer is YES

Will it prevent DNS hijacking that depends on multiple factors

I don't use it because its creates some issues with old recursive DNS servers i had a bad exp with it

if you run a high risk site i would suggest to use it but do it if you know what you are doing

    Have a great day
