Help, Guest OS won't start on VirtualBox 5.
I am using Debain 7.
I've just upgraded the VirtuaBox from 4.3 to 5. The problem is that after upgrading the VirtualBox, I cannot start guest OS.
See picture for error.

Thanks in advance

do a google search on the error code and wrap it with quotation marks=".
I did, but I could not find the solution as there are only 13 results.

The same exact error I found was from this
https://www.virtualbox.org/pipermail/vbox-dev/2015-May/013084.html
It is stated that I should disable 3D in the guest OS. I did disable it, but it doesn't work.
FYI I rent this server from Online.net (Dedibox Limited 3915)
That's why I am asking here, because LET is active forum. Maybe someone has the answer.
Give this a try https://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=68869
Is your guest additions updated to 5.x? https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/8016
Thanks your for your help. Unfortunately this answer is for Windows Host.
I have not yet installed Guest Additions because I cannot start the Guest OS.
...
Anyway, I have reverted / downgrade the version.
And it works now.
I think upgrading is not necessary now as VirtualBox 4.3 is still able to do what I need.
Again, Thank you for your answer and reply.
Yeah, I thought you had guest additions on 4.3 before upgrading.
The second link referred to guest addition version difference issues afaik.
@JRTech now you can turn on your VM you should install Guest Additions and keep them updated. You will probably be able to upgrade virtualbox + you might have better performances on the vm.
