OSSEC?
i believe they have a folder auditing tool, http://www.netwrix.com/top_7_freeware_tools.html
but i don't think it goes into individual files as well
You could always use forensics tools such as FKImager (free) and http://www.sleuthkit.org/autopsy/ is also good. Though specifically, I dont know of an audit tool, perhaps WinDirStat might help; though I assume you're looking for something focused on this.
Alternatively, you could write a python script in no time to do what you want to do.
Thanks guys for the suggestions. OSSEC and Autopsy seem interesting, but maybe too "complicated" for my need. Will try netwrix freeware today
Doesn't the Windows OS do this natively?
