Can't you just power cycle the router and get a new IP? To me that sounds a lot easier than submitting the logs and stuff...I would think it is really dumb for people to DDOS one's home internet connection (if what you claim is true of course)
Provided your ISP gives dynamic IP's, and they don't always change. The better question, is if your a HF skid who frequently annoys people why would you let people get your home IP in the first place?
