the on inside gmail. dont know what its called
Gtalk/Sky[e/MSN
Skype on Linux sucks, and I don't suspect it'll get better now that it's a M$ product.
And, well, I don't like to use instant messengers anyway. Email is nice, I can respond when I want to and people don't know if I am online or not so I don't feel like an ass for not responding immediately if I don't want to.
EDIT: gTalk is okay, I'm always on but I am always set to offline. I can still see who is online and if I really need to talk to someone, I'll just come online for a moment.
EDIT2: Introvert in real life. Introvert online.
that's a web version of Gtalk.
sounds cool.
Steam. Otherwise I just text people.
ICQ, gtalk. The reason - i use the centerim console client. I also have skype but i too don't like the linux skype client (not that the windows skype client is any good from what i've seen).
Skypeee
Surprised no one said Pidgin, very lightweight and has everything for basic chatter It's great
sorry I never used it.
Adium - which I use for Gtalk.
I use ichat for Gtalk.
Bitlbee with OTR plugin, running on my Dockstar. I use that for (self-hosted) Jabber/XMPP, Gtalk and if need be Icq. Also use it for Twitter.
Simple and reliable: http://tools.suckless.org/ii/
Jabber with Psi+
gTalk and some Skype.
Skype.
This + an XMPP to MSN gateway.
I'm using GTalk, MSN, Skype, ICQ and AIM
do people still use ICQ?
Probably, else he wouldn't list it...
ICQ is old as hell... lol skype/MSN FTW
I listed QQ not ICQ, though QQ's oldname is OICQ.
Yes, people still use ICQ.
Not my choice to use it, but yet, some people still use it and then I have to use it too. I did use it intensively about 10 years ago and it was quite popular back then.
Skype/WhatsApp
Skype is great, use it every day for personal/work use. Rarely use Google Talk.
Haven't used MSN in years.. since I was 16 or so probably.
Edit: Forgot IRC :P I log onto that while at work to procrastinate.
Just use IRC. Skype always seemed to be too bloated.
yes good old IRC, and email for anything longer or not text
My favourite is Gabe Newell's chat, Steam.
