Anyone got a good tutorial for running PHP-fpm/Nginx/MySQL on a 128MB vps?
Comments
Maybe. I've been fucking around with stuff on 64MB plans and I've got something workable. Give me a few hours to see if actually made any notes worth sharing
Thanks. Just wanna try some software out on my DNS VPSes.
It's really not rocket science if I can do it, MariaDB was the key bit.

Could be modified to use php-fpm.
Where's the fun in just using a script?
/me failed at life
It's mainly just the MySQL part. That script breaks mysql
http://prntscr.com/91prc4
hhvm, nginx (1 idle wordpress with ssl), mariadb, fail2ban, shellinabox, ssh, 3proxy
debian 8 x64
Don't forget RHEL!
yum install nginx php5-fpm mysql-server
And after that do this
(note: I had to add spaces after the starting
/
s so make sure to remove them)Although I use a 128MB Ramnode box for dev stuff and I much prefer lighttpd to nginx

It is possible to run Docker inside OpenVZ containers. Alpine Linux docker containers will use very little memory.
I've never heard of HHVM before, so I'm goung to check it now.
lol how did you get that? Mine with hhvm and nginx (1 idle wp as well), mariadb and softether counts around 260M and swap consumption...

Fuck cloudflare's bullshit.

edited because I was wrong about innodb key buffer size.
Yeah, possible, i did implement innodb buffer, but I guess it is just very few, defined through myphpadmin like 128kb? not sure
really??? joke with manipulate result? XD
where is the system memory consumption?
and what do you mean about the cloudflare part?
All I'm running on that openvz container is a webstack which is pretty much inactive. Openvz doesn't run any kernels, or I'd have 70-80 tasks running. More experienced people can probably reduce tasks to a lower number somehow.
Compare that to digitalocean's webserver I'm running on kvm(this server isn't running mysql, but is connected to another mysql server):

where is the system memory consumption?
any possible reference? I only use openvz vps with templates, would like to know how to build up this kind of webstack by those ovz vps?
it looks like you are using LES box to build the webstack. thanks
this is what I expected.
You don't need a tutorial, just install them and disable innodb engine... it just works out of the box even on 64MB boxes.
As you can see, in his pastebin, nginx and some others just do not consume any ram... is it out of box? I used ovz before, but didn't notice that.
