If I read your post right you want to install gnome and Firefox on a nanoVZ and and surf the web from a remote connection.
If that's the case I don't think you would get a usable performace doing that.
Install @nyr 's openvpn or a squid proxy from @hidden_refuge and connect to it via openvpn gui or set firefox to use the proxy.
