Best price for dedicated server with 1-2 tb useable SSD

Looking for a server with 16-32gb ram, 1-2tb useable SSD (ideally 2tb). Ideally good connections to east and west coast. What's the best price I should I expect to find these days? Any recommendations?

1-2tb ssd? That's going to come with quite a price tag. You sure you don't want something like 120-250 gb ssd for main files and 1-2tb hdd for storage? (asking only because you're posting on LET)

I can help you out with Los Angeles stuff depending on how long you plan to keep the server and your budget. Shoot me a PM!

What CPU do you want with this?

    What's your budget?

I don't think that the online.net can offer on limited server offer that size of SSD hard drive, as they do only 2 x 120GB of SSD only

    MayBe NY?

    Xeon E3
    16GB DDR3
    1TB SSD
    Port 1Gigabits
DDoS Protection: 10 Gbps DDoS Protection

    $150.00

Yea, that price isn't going to be a LEB. Second, with that much data on a SSD, I would make sure you have it backed up ;)

Best we can do is a E3-1230v3 with 32GB RAM and a 960GB SSD. 5 Usable IPs on a 1Gbps connection with 10TB Bandwidth. The IPs come with basic DDoS protection. We can deploy it in either Phoenix or Dallas.

    You are looking at $199/month

For 2 x 960GB SSDs you are looking at $279/month

I agree with @oneilonline 's suggestion. You really should consider RAID1 or daily backups if you are going to load up an SSD that big.

Budget is LET levels so, as suggested, I'm thinking I can get by with 240GB SSD plus 2TB HDD. CPU is flexible - maybe E3-1240v3. 16-32GB RAM. 1Gbps, 5-10TB bandwidth. Currently looking in the Chicago area.

  • Hey, reliablesite.net can provide this...

    Intel Xeon E3-1245v2 16GB RAM 2 X 1TB SSD $169 /mo

I'm not affiliated with them, I was just aware of their SSD's good prices ;)

A lot of providers can provide a 1 TB SSD, and most will also provide a 2TB, you just have to ask for it ;)

  • For such non-mainstream configuration and if you need it for long term it would be better to build (buy) your own system and colo it somewhere. If you can afford the upfront cost that is.

Have a look to the OVH Network they can offer you in good price.

If you want this long-term, look for a provider that is willing to let you ship in an SSD and do that.

    Reasons:

    • Most providers will charge you entire cost of SSD in 3-5 months
    • You can ensure it's a brand new SSD that meets your requirements
    • You can find SSDs on sale with offer limit one per customer, that providers cannot use
    • You might be able to have them ship it out in the end, and have all your data easy

Then, in your case, you can probably get a $50-100 server instead of a $150-300 server. If you keep it a year you'll save something like $1000 in the end.

While this is quite a bit lower than what you've been posting, it is probably the closest to your budget so I'll go ahead and post it. My apologies if it doesn't fit your expectations.

    Location: Los Angeles

    20 Gbps DDoS Protection
    /29 IPv4
    /64 IPv6
    Dual L5420 (8 cores)
    16 GB RAM
    128 GB SSD
    2 TB HDD
    $65/mo

If you're interested (or if anyone else is interested), I can sell a couple of these so shoot me a PM!

    Location and budget?

Are you looking for those SSD(s) to be in RAID or just a single drive ?

We can certainly help in London, UK at Clouvider.

  • kind of sux that storage upgrades are always like "what the drive costs every month because fuck you"

slight exaggeration but you get my point

SoYouStart, it's one of the cheapest SSD providers coming to my mind along with Online.net special offers.

  • re: OVH, I know for the gameservers at least, they sell the i7-4790K w/ 16GB of RAM on the ireland site for 50 euro, vs $70 USD for the exact same thing on the US site.

i've said it before, but ... when ordering from OVH, always check both sites. the US site used to be cheaper some year ago or so.

If its important , it needs to be redundant.

    E3-1240v2

    4x512GB or 4x480GB SSD ( Almost 1 TB usable SSD space on RAID-10 )

    10TB @ 1GBPS ( extra 10TB for $50/mo )

    /29 IPv4

Los Angeles DC | Colocrossing , get in touch on skype or support[at]readydedi.com for price quote.

So you list all the specs and the pricing for upgrades, but you require him to contact you on skype or email for the base price? wtflogic?

Because upgrade's prices are fixed. Base price is flexible :)

EDIT: I'm not much of a marketing guy , leaning more to the technical side. I hope you forgive me for having you look at that offer with your professional eyes.
