Why are you looking to upgrade? To increase settings on games, new connectors for a monitor...?
Since you started with LowEnd Graphic Card I would suggest the one you can get the best deal on...
It's pretty simple.. gather list of all cards you can acquire within that price range. Compare 3dmark or other scores/benchmarks of your choosing.
dont go for 4850/4870 .. consume too much power for the performance. 5670 was an excellent performer in its time, for <HD resolution. so 5670-6670 should be the way to go. Just make sure you have a decent powersupply to provide clean power (ripples are BAD).
I'm using an HD5450 in my htpc which works fine. Got it for 25€, but idk if they are available in your country.
am using a iris pro 6200 and works very good for most games (Intel CPU Only)
Best is probably to look up benchmark results then buy the cheapest you are satisfied with. (videocardbenchmark.net)
@frecyboy...
That card is not good performance wise...
@junkless I will see what I can find...thanx though..
Then maybe say for what u need it? Enough for minecraft and hd videos, and it's new...

Depends on what you need, I have and using an old ati 4850 512mb. Damn old but It works until now (dual screens) and still can play some games (League of Legends mostly).
One thing I don't like using old vga card (ati 4850) is AMD stop updating driver for old cards, ati 4850 does not work well under Windows 10 (tried few days ago and Windows 10 broke some graphic functions due to old driver).
You should look for newer low end card if you want it to play well under newer OS, or old high end if you want to play some games.
I'm on FreeBSD 10.1-RELEASE and generally a low end kinda guy, so recently upgraded from a 3450 w/512Mb to a 6450 w/2Gb. The difference in even file browsing was quite noticeable. I do not ever do any gaming so thought (wrongly) that a really low end card was OK, but this improvement has made me wonder if a high end card wouldn't improve desktop performance even more. Now it really pisses me off when I read that on-board video is OK for desktop use. It's wrong to say that when it actually causes delays.
The better the card the crisper the images and text. Plus the faster draw and refresh speeds.
@raxv2
Thanx will try that...
@frecyboy
I would do little gaming....not much but still ...
I'm currently using XFX Radeon HD 5750, and after 5 years this card still works great. If you can find it cheap, from my experience its good deal.
I have and old radeon hd 4670 and it was really good back around 2008 or 2009. It however ate tons of electricity and often caused my old PC to boot without graphics.
@emperor
yap my first priority is going to be series 6000 and then 5000 and yes might buy 5750....BTW...how much power it consumes.....
I've never actually bothered with power consumption, my power supply is 600w.
However this is what is written on the support page :
PCI Express® based PC is required with one X16 lane graphics slot available on the motherboard
450 Watt or greater power supply with one 75W 6-pin PCI Express® power connectors recommended (600 Watt and two 6-pin connectors for AMD CrossFireX™ technology in dual mode)
@emperor thanx
Found more links btw

I might buy directly from a shop..But I might need to get a decent power supply first...
You better get a good PSU if you are looking to get a 5770. Requires a bit more power, but excellent performance as well.
@junkless
Thanx
I don't recommend older than radeon 6000 series AMD simply for driver support on newer OS... For nvidia don't go older than geforce 500 series.
Get a GT 720
@aldothetroll
You did not read my budget bro...but thanx for the advice ....I believe you are recommending the 64 bit GDDR5 version
You talking about MS-Windows?
@shovenose
I don't know bro why you are saying that?
Because as far as drivers are concerned
http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows 10 - 64
I was able to find it for windows 10
The hell are you talking about? The GT 720 is a DDR3 card and is no more than $50 and if it is then you are getting ripped off. If you can't find one for $50 or less then get a GT 610.

@aldothetroll
