Self hosted solution to track VPS details
Hi,
Is there a simple self hosted solution to track VPS's / servers / domains I have?
e.g:
VPS NAME / PACKAGE PROVIDER OS CPU RAM STORAGE IP LOCATION PURPOSE / ROLE etc
Or should I just be boring and keep some sort of Excel spreadsheet...
How do you do it?
Comments
Just make a custom script for it pretty basic, can make you one if you really need one.
[edit] Best to just memorize them though.
Might be a bad idea to store passwords in such lists or services even if self hosted and private. Just saying .
Use google drive spreadsheet.
Sure, point taken. I've removed that :P

Thanks - I had actually just found it as you posted!
Looks interesting so far though
github.com/munroenet/serverstatus
Notepad also does it if Excel is too much (:
I worked on something called Host Login couple years ago, here is the old thread about it : http://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/23185/host-login-all-in-one-place-to-access-your-server-information/p1
It was discontinued and I had been wanting to make it open source for a while, but never got around to it. I just uploaded the source to github and it is available here now: https://github.com/KSubedi/hostlogin
Hopefully someone will continue working on this.
Edit: Also pinging @0xdragon since I remember you wanted the source code a while ago.
Oh my gosh, thank you!
(Seriously guys, this is the best thing since sliced bread. Just needs a quick makeover.)
Haha totally could use a updated ui (bootstrap is so 2013 ) and some other changes. It was built on laravel 4 so could use an update to laravel 5 too.
I found a Django web app to keep track of servers' due dates a while ago: https://github.com/ServerListing/Server_Listing/
It can store server names, roles, IPs, cost, etc. It can also ping the servers regularly and can fetch their specs from SolusVM via their API.
The original project hasn't been touched for years, but there's a fork that adds a couple more features (different currencies, billing cycles, cancellation dates, etc. if I recall correctly).
