  • Saw this ages ago. Looks nice but the fact there's no IMAP means it's impractical, for example if you ever need to migrate away.

  • Those big companies already have too much information about internet users.

I wouldn't touch any email service amazon offer (google neither!)...

  • agreed, we do our own emailing server... just to much information

  • I would have thought Amazon would be better than Google et al since they're not a giant marketing company. Don't know though.

  • Well, Privacy apart, I am expecting it to be a good and considerably cheaper service than Office 365/Google Apps/Hosted Exchange offers.

Lets see how it rolls up...

Pricing is already public it will be $4 per user per month. Only slightly cheaper compared to google apps (when paid yearly).

    No IMAP support, really? Ridiculous.

That's not going to click anything IMO. Pricing should be half of what Google apps is for

It's a preview, probably they will add it later.

They don't do ads (except their own affiliate system, that's already quite huge) but they do heavy profiling and have good results in the SERP so I'd believe they catch a huge part of internet traffic (even people just looking for information about a product or a book)
