    That's the reasoning that lead me to try using VLANs rather than separate taps having different networks. But, because bgpd is a modular part of Quagga, I wasn't sure that was really an implemented restriction. I didn't need the advertised routes to actually -work- in my test system at this stage, but just wanted to get the routes exchanged for starters.

    If you only want to exchange routes, you can disable Zebra and use multihop bgp.
