The obvious question - why use Windows for NAS?
nooo. i have a NAS drive. It's shares are Mounted on windows.
Can't you install something on the NAS itself? Either way try creating a symbolic link sort of thing like: http://www.pearlmagik.com/winbolic/ as explained a few posts down in http://community.spiceworks.com/topic/109773-trick-windows-into-thinking-network-drive-is-local?.
subst ( http://www.computerhope.com/substhlp.htm )
or mklink ( http://www.windows7home.net/how-to-create-symbolic-link-in-windows-7/)
Tried that, get Invalid Switch
@DanielM
Have you tried netdrive.net or bitkinex.com
Yep i knew about netdrive for some time, problem is its slow and takes time to sync rather that being instant.

The /J flag will not allow you to network locations.
