The old one is iconic (no pun intended) and has more than 5 years of history and recognition attached to it.
The new one is just some bland generic square in that tasteless trend-of-the-day "Windows 8" manner.
It doesn't even feel as something highly-professional, well-made or thought out, it's just something a 7 year old would draw in Paint.
It recks me not, the only thing that matters is different LEB/LET favicons.
