Dedicated server for VPS hosting

Hello LowEndTalk,

I want to start providing VPS hosting to local people. I live in the Netherlands, but latency isn't a big problem as long as it's not over ~100ms.

Looking for something like an E3, 16GB RAM, 2x 1 TB, low-priced IPs.

Budget is around $140/mo at max.

    I got one in New york, 1x120GB SSD + 2x1tb drives, E3-1240, 16GB ram..

    How many IP's you want? I can do 30 in there if you want?

    Could get lucky though.. some networks can do it nicely (no, i'm not saying you can get a dedi from ramnode, purely used as example of under 100ms)

    How many IPs do you think you will need? 16 - 32 or more? What is your idea of reasonable price IPs?

    We can do a dedicated server (excluding IPs). Xeon E3-1230v3, 16GB RAM, 2x1TB HD for US$99 /month. Test it for free if you like. Location is Central Europe, latency is about 40ms from NL.

    Send server.lu a ticket with your requirements. Their network and support was pretty solid when I used them in the past.

    If you're making it a local business selling to other locals I would go with a server in NL.

    In my opinion the nearest you are the better it is.
    You should look for a local hosting company or at worst in Europe.
    There is a lot of hosting companies so it should not be a problem.

    or something from ovh range, 32 GB at least, 256 IPs included...

    you probably should think about spending part of your budget on hw-raid 10 or something like that...
