On a serious note, rather than this thread going off the tracks: 99Designs is a good spot if you have a few bucks to spend on this, ie. you're serious about it. Fiverr can be good as well if you know what you want ahead of time.
Lots of design talent to be found on ODesk/UpWork for cheap, can probably have something for <$30 if you have a rough idea of what you want.

I've found that if you spend about $25 on fiverr across a few designers, at least one of them comes back with something that isn't crap. Check out the Twitter logo, it's one I had done on there. I can pull up who did it too if you decide to try it. I mean, $5 you know

99designs is your best bet. If you buy the silver or better package you get some really good results.

IVe tried 99designs twice in the past year. Used their silver package and didn't get anything good at all. They used to have good pricing but it's gone up a lot. I would look for a designer at dribbble and contact him/her directly.
