Configuring IPv6 on a virtual network

edited July 2015 in Help

I have a Ramnode VPS that is running 6 LXCs. I want to enable IPv6 on all of the LXCs.

I have a /64 network and 16 other IPv6 addresses assigned to the host. I think what I am suppose to do is remove an address from the hosts external interface and assign it to an interface on the virtual switch (probably in a the lxc itself via dhcp or static addresses for routers) and make a rule to drop all traffic inbound to one of the IPv6 addresses.

If I am mistaken, someone please correct me.

Do you have a bridge betweeen external and internal (virtual) network or do you route?

  • I have two bridges. One from the host to the virtual router and one for all of the LXCs. It makes it easy to prevent broadcasts from the LXCs from spilling onto the Internet.
